The Wantok Musik Foundation is a not-for-profit Music Label that records, releases and promotes culturally infused music from Indigenous Australia, Melanesia and Oceania. Wantok Musik raises the local and international profile of Indigenous and world music groups based in the region, and provides greater economic opportunity for artists and long-term career sustainability.

'A BIT NA TA' SCREENINGS IN RABAUL TO BEGIN JANUARY 2020

Screenings for the 'a Bit na Ta' film begin this Friday, the 17th of January @ Gaulim Teachers College, Kokopo, 6pm. Entry is free and all are welcome. Check the poster below for further screenings in and around Rabaul, including a live performance by Sir George Telek and band.

fRANK yAMMA VINYL Album tjUKURPA Available for PREORDER

Wantok Musik is proud to announce that the first vinyl album of Frank Yamma's music will be released on the 7 February. Tjukurpa: The Story is a collection of tracks from across his career remastered for vinyl. 

The album is accompanied by digital only compilation, The Kulila Project which features never before released mixes and remixes of Frank Yamma tracks. These tracks are put together by long-time collaborator David Bridie as well as other artists including Corin Ileto (CORIN) and James Henry. It also features two remixes from members of Nairobi's EA Wave; Jinku, Hiribae & Ukweli

Tjukurpa is available for preorder from our bandcamp and the first 20 orders will receive a limited edition CD of The Kulila Project
